Thaïsa Olivia is a passionate jazz vocalist and songwriter based in Amsterdam the Netherlands, with a warm, distinctive sound and a special flair of presentation. Her background is colorful and versatile, the same applies to her concerts. Beautiful and contemporary jazz originals take turns with a variety of freshly-arranged jazz standards. From groovy swing and sophistication to sensuality and contemplation, always delivered with vitality and persuasion. Thaïsa Olivia first fell in love with jazz in New Orleans. Since then, she has been performing on a variety of stages in the Netherlands and other European countries as well.

Her curriculum is extensive, ranging from singing, dancing and presenting to acting and more. She regularly gigs with the Thaïsa Olivia Quartet and as a freelance vocalist across the globe. Her extensive array of performances has gained her critical acclaim and a solid reputation. After her well-received album 'Let Go', she currently is working on a brand-new album. Thaïsa visited New York City frequently and made a promising vocal debut in several of its jazz venues in 2013. In the meantime, New York City is her second home and she often regularly performs in it's vibrant jazz scene. Thaïsa appeared at the renowned Kitano Jazz Club NYC recently. Prior to this she was thrilled to perform in New Orleans, at the Spotted Cat Music Club and Snug Harbor, where it all started.

She performed in the Netherlands as well as abroad with the Thaïsa Olivia Quartet, The Thaïsa Olivia Band, The Grand Piano Boogie Train, The Jaap Dekker Band, Big Band Balance, Hot Club de Frank, The Feenbrothers, the international music theatre group 'Up with People' (US and European tour) and The Croonettes (tour in Germany).

Thaïsa interprets carefully selected pieces from the American Songbook, with a great sense of lyricism and expressiveness, thus giving familiar and lesser-known songs a unique interpretation. The repertoire consists of pieces written and/or sung by Cole Porter, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Cy Coleman, Rodgers & Hart, Harold Arlen, Jerome Kern and Kurt Elling a.o. For some time now, Thaïsa has also applied herself to composing her own material with original lyrics and arrangements. Thaïsa is accompanied by an excellent trio of three musicians, who each have amply earned their reputation.
